Arizona - Weekend Road Trip

We work really long hours, where the weeks tend to fly by and blend in together. For Labor Day the jobsite was closed (HOORAY!) for the entire weekend - We really needed the three day weekend.

Since it was supposed to be 106 we thought we would head to the mountains, see some new parts of Arizona and venture into the NE region. The drive was at my threshold for sitting in one place (being pregnant), the landscapes were beautiful and the temperatures were heaven - high 70s.

The driving loop was Phoenix to Globe, to Show Low (stay the night)... onwards to Clifton where we drove through an enormous mining operation and then looped back through Globe to home.

We tried to hike in the White Mountains, on a trail that Joe picked out, we just didn't realize it was at close to 10,000' elevation and about 30 minutes into the hike, I wasn't going to make it the full 6 miles. I really felt bad - good old pregnancy sucked the wind right out of my lungs!
