Unlike most who move into a house and paint some walls before they buy furniture or unpack... we didn't close on the house until the previous owners passed their City Inspections on the new foundation (the house was up on blocks).
Our first steps were to build a kitchen, refinish floors, replace broken and missing window panes, install gutters, hang a mailbox, and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN - all to make it "habitable" for the banks and complete our loan.
