While we are in Arizona... we make it back to Portland and the house every 6 weeks or so. The trip is always WAAAY to short, lasting only about 48 hours (aka: a weekend) to check on things, say hi to friends, relax and cool off.
This is a very late post, since it's already been a few weeks since we were home... so my apologies. It was for Labor Day and we had beautiful weather and fun in the garden! Despite being neglected and unruly, we still had treats waiting in the planter boxes... green beans and tomatoes!
In addition to the garden, the hops off the sunporch were totally wild and lots of fun.
All in all, it was a great weekend and extremely hard to board the plane to come back to the 110 degree heat...
One fun report - I finally got to meet a neighbor and fellow blogger from Restored Style. If I had the time and commitment, this blog would be something similar to her daily postings and DIYs. We exchanged house tours and I must say, her place is even cuter in person. So wonderfully styled. We still don't have finished rooms to decorate or buy furniture for. I kept thinking IF ONLY... a girl can wish and dream, right? Until that time, I'll live vicariously through her blog, house renovations and inspiration! Must be something about both being Scorpios, we have the same birthday and live about 10 blocks apart! Great minds, think alike!
